Busy day

Brandon had the day off today, so we were going to go to Target and WHole Food for dog stuffs and groceries.

Well, we got half of that list completed.

As we were pulling int the Whole Foods lot, his phone rang and it was work.

Needless to say, we raced home, he changed into his uniform, and I drove him to base. For 30 min. of work.

really Navy? Really...

Well, we had an oven pizza for dinner and I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow.

I
m trying a new thing with Cameron..sleeping with no swaddle..free..just his jammies and diaper.

We shall see! He passed out and barely stirred when I carried him to his crib. Sweet love :)

a "gah" kind of day

I'm just pooped. This teething mess is kicking our hiney's!

Please, oh please, let my little one's teeth come soon!

I don't think Ollie knows what to think about RB...she keeps giving him sideways glances, haha. He'll grow on her. They haven't really played much today..maybe because she knows he is here for good? Not sure.

Brandon should be home soon, then I finally get to take a shower so we can take a trip to the pet store :) I'm excited..I haven't really felt like going out in a bit, so it'll be nice to go somewhere today.

This doge needs neutering! I am NOT dealing with a marking dog..esp. with a scooting baby!

Meet "Root Beer"

UPDATE:

R.B. is officially our new family member.

We need to get him neutered, but other than that, he is updated with the vet and fits in already!

Cameron's new favorite thing is to sit in his jumperoo and watch the dogs play. He had his first giggle fit last night while they were running around greeting one another..

He slept in our bed last night..not good..not good. Not tonight, though! We are taking a trip to petsmart later as a family. I'm excited!

two of two

Today was a bust :(

Brandon's co-worker's friend got into a pretty bad car accident, so she couldn't make it (understandably)

SO, the puppy meet is on for tomorrow..my sister came over, though, and we had a nice time cooking dinner and hanging out. She joined a dating site and I helped her fill out the mile long questionnaire.

Pics from our walk to the lake (multiples to make up for lack of puppy cuteness)

one of two

Later our little family of four will grow into a family of five. Hopefully.

I'm anxious to meet the pups and to see if we get along well with either of them.

This pic was so cute, I couldn't wait to post it.

Face rash :(

Cameron tooth need to break free! He is drooling so much, I just can't keep up! Now he has a rash on his chubby cheeks, even though I wipe his face every two minutes..

I need to start classes soon..I need someone to kick my patootie and just say "Kristen GO!"

I knew we would have a rough morning with our appointment on base, so last night I made sure to cook enough for tonight as well.

On the menu: Leftovers!

This weekend, we are going to visit one of Brandon's friends that live on base. He has a family, too, so I won't be out in the cold twiddling my thumbs. He has a wife and two young children, so it should be a good time.

We are trying to widen our circle. Currently, our circle consists of us..Cameron..Ollie and my two older sisters haha.

double

Where did all of this motivation come from?

Maybe it's from my super-balanced breakfast of oatmeal and vitamins?

I got all of my house cleaning done..I even dusted, all while Cameron was snoozing for his nap.

Brandon's co-worker is coming over Wednesday with the puppies. She has two, a boy & a girl and they are both five months old..same age as Cameron!

I invited my sister over to take a looksee at them as well. Her dog, Myles, died this past year. He wasn't even one yet. She took it pretty hard, but hopefully she can connect with one of the minpin pups. Myles made her so happy, so I know another dog would be good company for her, but if she isn't ready I'm not going to push her.

Brandon should be home in the next hour an a half or so.

Dinner: Fried chicken, home made mac-n-cheese, & biscuits with some sweet iced tea.

New roads to travel

Brandon and I have been having many discussions lately on our future as a family. We both have always known that we would like to try for more than one child, but we also want to provide a stable foundation and structure for them to grow up in.

He has been tossing around a few future career options, and has finally set himself on becoming a naval JAG officer. Within the next five years, he will be completing a bachelor's degree, applying for acceptance into the JAG program, and gaining ranks as an officer. If all goes according to plan (which if he wants it, he will get it) then we will be a Navy family for a total of 30 (yes 30) years.

I will be completing my degree (almost halfway there) in elementary education and beginning my master's program for Art Therapy. I am going to be a second grade teacher while our children are young, then I will most likely become an Art Therapist to help out children with emotionally traumatizing backgrounds.

Other news:

Cameron likes binkies again :) I think they soothe his little gums from the nasty monster teeth that are trying to break free.

Brandon "forgot" to take Ollie out last night, so this morning I was happily greeted by a pee-soaked pug :( SO, I gave her a bath, cleaned out her cage..turned around..and she pooed on the floor. BAD DOG!

Needless to say, this has not been the best of days.

sippy?

Why doesn't my baby boy think sleep is important to me? Why must he wake during all hours of the night...maybe he just misses me :D haha

Today is going to be a.very.lazy.day.

I'm so so tired, I can't wait until he sleeps through the night again.

We have to go grocery shopping..we are out of EVERYTHING, but I fear taking Cameron out in this cold.

Brandon has decided on taking in a minpin. I'm alright with it, Ollie needs a buddy.

lots to do today!!!

UPDATE!

We just got back and while we were grocery shopping, we decided to grab a sippy cup for Cameron...
