My Little Love as he is, right now, playing joyfully in his jumperoo.

Today we went to a mall that we haven't been to before..The Avenues Mall in jacksonville. It was pretty decent, but I was disappointed in their Victoria's Secret. It isn't their fault, but their semi annual sale items had been so rummaged through, none of the bras I liked were left in my size.

My MIL gifted me a $50 card for Christmas :) I'll just hold on to it for when I find something I really adore.

We took a peek in the pet store, and in the front window, they had a pug and a minpin playing together. Brandon wants a minpin really badly, and one of his co-workers will sell us one of her puppy minpins for $100..I told him to invite her and a few others over and for her to bring the pup so we can see how Ollie will take to it.

Tonight on the menu: Broiled, seasoned, pork chops-home made smashed potatoes, and boiled corn on the cob. YUMM!

This has been a pretty good week.

At Williams Sonoma they had a baby-food making machine..I'm looking into it.

And now he sits!

Just look at him!

Without my help, my 4 month 3 week old son...sat. on. his. own.

Seriously?! Do they all learnt his quickly? If so, everyone is right when they tell you time flies and to cherish every moment that goes by.

Last night my husband cleaned our apartment, including unpacking the unpacked boxes in our bedroom from our prior move. AND he cooked himself dinner AND cleaned up afterward!

I was at my sister's house eating her vegetarian "sweet potato/black bean burritos" which..were surprisingly awesome. I think Brandon would even like them. For desert? Homemade chocolate chip/walnut cookies. I love my sister. She is an awesome cook.

So today has been pretty uneventful around here besides CAMERON SITTING ON HIS OWN!

It is supposed to snow this weekend...CRAZY!

cloth???

I think I am on caffeine overload :( I need more H2O.

My husband and I went to setup marriage counseling today...we aren't in a rutt right now, but we seem to have riding a roller coaster these past 2 years and are ready to get off and live a bit easier with one another.

Next Tuesday at 8:00 am we will have our first appointment.

Last night the temperature got to 21 degrees! This is FLORIDA! haha..it is going to snow tomorrow in Atlanta, GA but we only get slush down here.

Later, after I pick up my husband from work and drop him off back home, Cameron and I are going to visit my sister that lives nearby. I haven't seen her since Christmas and I miss her :( she misses her nephew haha

He sat up all by himself today! he picked himself up and everything :)

I'm so proud of my Little Love...but he is growing up WAY to fast. He's been on my hip all day, so he's relaxing in his Precious Planet Jumperoo.

We are thinking of switching to cloth diapers. Cameron can't seem to shake his diaper rash no matter which diapers/ointments we try out.

I'm a SAHM, so I should be able to handle it...but poop is gross.

4.5 months and to the pediatrician

Yesterday Cameron went to his new pediatrician...I was really nervous because we don't really have a choice where he goes unless we pay full out-of-pocket costs.

We live too close to base (?!) to get a civilian pediatrician, so he had to see the one on base.

He is a bit over 4 months, and we are opting for the alternate vaccine schedule, so he was due for a shot. He got examined, which went really well, and then off we went for his HipB shot. He only cried for like 5 seconds and was laughing again..my silly boy! haha

He has already had his HepB shots as they were required for release from the hospital once he was born..I was not too happy about that.

He weighs 16 lbs. and is finally starting to slow down on his weight gain. He sounds big for a 4 month old baby boy, but he is breastfed. I have to explain this to everyone but not many people get it. Breastfed babies grow quickly at first and then start to "level off" as they get older. He is by NO means a fat baby..he is just bigger and suits the average for his age with breastfed baby boys.

Cameron is rolling over both ways, scooting, laughing, saying "ma-ma" & "dada" (eventhough we know he doesn't correlate it to my husband and I), sitting up while supporting himself on his hands, follows objects and deliberately grabs them and pulls things correctly to his mouth.

His doc. suggested beginning him on solids, but I feel better waiting until he is 6 months old. We are doing the "baby led weaning" method where we cook veggies to soften them and allow our son to explore them, lick them, taste, ignore, or eat them when he is ready. I'm excited!

He shows interest in food already when I am eating. He grabs at my food and smiles :)

Today is a "chillax" day..for him! I have SO much housework to do...ugh I hate cleaning up after the holidays..I finally removed all of our decorations and put them all away. Now my husband just has to take our tree down...

Numero Uno

Since I have decided to start one of these things, I guess I should give a little of myself.

I am a 21 year-old wife to a United States Sailor and mom to our son Cameron. My husband and I are high school sweethearts that met when I was 15 and my (now) husband was 16. We have never broken up or "taken a break" and knew from the beginning that we were always meant for one another. We married a week after I graduated in a small ceremony in our hometown's local garden on the lake. It was beautiful, yadda yadda.

Skip forward two and a half years-to-now and here we are with our awesome baby boy, Cameron.

Here we are this past Thanksgiving:

That's Rollie Pollie Ollie on my husband's lap..she's 3 and Cameron (in my lap..obviously) is going on 5 months now. Time flies.

Welcome!!!
